Why We're Here....
#1
The purpose of this board is simple:

1. Discuss and promote Vacaway products

2. Discuss the methods and tools used in VLM processes

3. Discuss the methods and tools used in all cleaning processes

4. Assist each other in every endeavor of our business including marketing, repairs, tools, chems, accessories and everything in between

What this place isn't:

1. This is not a lop sided discussion board. People use different equipment, different chems, etc. and we need to respect this. Do not tear someone down because they don't use the same machine you do. This kind of bickering is pointless and childish and does nothing to help you build your business, improve your cleaning skills or put money in your pocket.

2. This applies to everyone

That's it. Respect each other and get along. The rest is easy. padding

I thoroughly agree with the above.

Just noticed some abnormality in the thanks.

I thought the GREEN GUY was being cheeky, thanking you 8 times. Huh

Then I noticed the LIZARD had done the same. Blush

....I see you frequently on TMF.

Seems that is where most of the people that posted here have moved to for whatever reason.  I am not a big Facebook fan either, at least for the last couple of years.  However, I have been drawn back in because I missed learning new thing on the boards.

There are groups for rug cleaners, tile and grout, Op, Portables, etc, etc.  A lot of the groups are closed, meaning you have to request to join, which typically takes a short period of time.

I still check in on this board on occasion, just not much activity!

I also like the boards and of course this board in particular. However, FB is like a juggernaut at the moment and it has slowed down many forums and bulletin boards. This is not exclusive to carpet cleaning either.

The problem is that so many people want quick answers and FB is literally 'live'. You can ask a question and have an answer instantly because virtually every member receives alerts, messages, etc and are plugged in. You can post a pic and even broadcast live videos. The largest groups have over 3,000 plus members.

Things may come full circle at some point, but for now social media is having an impact.
