Several years ago, I tried microfiber pads and thought they worked pretty good.

However the two sided microfiber bonnets are stitched together along with a layer of padding between the two sides. The stitching never broke when using rotaries, but after a few uses it broke and then pads were almost useless for OP cleaning.

I have always thought that a very, very thick "One Piece" microfiber pad would be great. The trouble is finding such an animal that is large and thick enough.

You can find fairly thick, "One Piece" towels that are 16" x 16" or 16" x 24", but they don't seem to make them in any size that will fit under a 17" machine properly.
